xAI is no longer just building Grok. It is now renting major compute capacity to Anthropic.
That makes xAI look more like a neocloud: buy GPUs, build data centers, rent power to AI labs.
This is smart for cash, but awkward for the AI story. The best AI labs usually hoard compute, not lease it out.
The quiet question is simple: is Musk building the best AI model, or the most valuable AI toll road?
Mozilla says Anthropic’s Mythos model helped find serious Firefox bugs, including some hiding for over a decade.
This is a real jump from older AI security tools, which often produced noisy and useless reports.
Firefox shipped 423 bug fixes in April 2026, compared to 31 in April 2025. That is a massive shift.
But humans still wrote and reviewed the patches. AI found the mess faster, but engineers still had to clean it.
