Eric Schmidt (ex-Google CEO) said a couple of days back at a Conference in Riyadh: By 2032, single AI models will be smarter than the best experts in every human knowledge field.
And in 5 years from now, AI systems will be able to write and improve on their own code, leading to recursive self-improvement.
This is the reality from Google’s employees of what’s really happening behind the scenes, as Google’s CEO said: More than a quarter of the company’s code is being done by AI.
AI is a productivity tool, not a human intelligence replacer.
On Tuesday, Nvidia exceeded Apple’s market capitalisation to become the world’s largest company, based on the strength of a global AI push. As Bloomberg notes, the chipmaker has experienced an astronomical 850% growth since the tail end of 2022.
Freshworks plans to streamline operations by laying off 13% of its workforce, affecting 660 employees. The company reported strong Q3 earnings, raising its revenue expectations. Freshworks anticipates $11-$13 million in restructuring costs and aims for a successful fiscal year-end by December 2024.
Google’s new AI can control a computer to complete these simple tasks without manual human input. The prototype that popped up on Google’s extension store wasn’t in full working mode.
A reporter tried to use Jarvis, but access permissions prevented the app from performing any functions.
