He wrote about the rapid rise of AI and the concerns it brings, including job displacement, ethical dilemmas, and regulatory challenges.
He later adds, "Even those who helped build this technology are now worried it might spiral out of control, impacting millions of lives."
According to a report from VC firm Accel, venture funding for cloud startups in the U.S., Europe and Israel this year is projected to rise 27% year-over-year, increasing for the first time in three years.
Accel said that out of the $79.2 billion total raised by cloud firms, 40% of all funding went to generative AI startups.
Huang’s visit marks a continuation of NVIDIA’s collaboration with Indian companies, including Reliance, Tata, and Infosys, to enhance India’s AI startup ecosystem and reskill the IT workforce.
The summit, which will be held from October 23 to 25 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, will include presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities.
French AI startup Mistral has released its first generative AI models designed to be run on edge devices, like laptops and phones.
The new family of models, which Mistral calls “Les Ministraux,” can be used or tuned for various applications, from basic text generation to working in conjunction with more capable models to complete tasks.
