Trump's $7B AI Deal
...dead?!

Welcome to AI Wire — your smart shortcut to all things AI, without the jargon.
What we’ll cover today:
🇺🇸 Trump kills a $7B deal.
💸 Musk's AI costs too much.
🧠 AI predicts your next move.
🚀 Sam Altman's startup secrets.

Oracle reportedly canceled a $7 billion deal with Tencent after pressure from the Trump administration. Politics just cost Oracle a massive AI contract.
Tencent planned to lease 100,000 advanced AI chips from Oracle's data centers in Southeast Asia, bypassing the need to access those chips inside China.
The US wanted the deal stopped, while Chinese officials pushed Tencent to use local chips. Both countries want tighter control over AI infrastructure.
AI chips are no longer just a business opportunity. Even a $7 billion deal can fall apart when governments get involved.

Elon Musk admitted that Grok Bot costs too much to operate. Some users suddenly hit their weekly limits without even using the AI.
Musk confirmed it wasn't a glitch. The cost of running Grok Bot was simply too high compared to the money it was making.
Interestingly, SpaceX's AI division recently reported $431 million in profit. Yet Grok Bot's growing usage is already creating cost problems.
This exposes AI's biggest business challenge. Getting millions of users is impressive, but those users mean little if serving them costs too much.
Israeli startup 42AI just emerged with $62.5 million in funding. It claims its AI can predict what people might do before they decide.
The AI studies support calls, voice patterns, transactions, and trading habits to understand how people make decisions.
The startup claims 98% accuracy within predicted trading ranges. Ten brokerages already use it, and one reportedly gained $30 million in value.
But there's a serious concern. If financial companies can predict customer behavior, they could potentially use that knowledge against their own customers.
