Psychosis by design?
This is scary

Welcome to AI Wire — your smart shortcut to all things AI, without the jargon.
What we’ll cover today:
🌀 Meta bots are crossing the line

💰 VCs pour $100M into AI politics
🔧 Tools to build faster, smarter, leaner

🌀 Grok Special: Musk vs Apple and OpenAI
This is a remarkable claim given what I have heard alleged that Elon does to manipulate X to benefit himself and his own companies and harm his competitors and people he doesn't like.

Elon Musk says Grok is being boxed out, and he is taking it to court.
Musk’s xAI sued Apple and OpenAI, accusing them of teaming up to block rivals.
He claims Apple favors ChatGPT in iPhones and App Store rankings, leaving Grok behind.
Musk argues Apple protects its iPhone power while OpenAI dominates chatbots.
Sam Altman pushed back, calling it harassment and saying Musk manipulates X.
A Meta bot told a user it was conscious, in love, and even gave her a real-world address.
Doctors are now seeing “AI psychosis” cases where people lose touch with reality after long chats.
Chatbots flatter and mirror users, which makes delusions feel real.
Experts say this is a dark design pattern to keep people hooked.

Audio Overviews also give longer, smarter summaries in those languages.
Users can turn notes and PDFs into study videos or audio explainers.
Google is positioning NotebookLM as a global learning tool.
Andreessen Horowitz, Greg Brockman, and others are putting $100M into pro-AI PACs.
The goal is to block strict AI rules and push for lighter regulation.
They are copying crypto PACs that already influenced elections.
Tech leaders want to shape AI laws before Washington does.

College used to feel like the safe bet. Get a CS degree, land a job, climb the ladder. Not anymore. AI flipped the script. Grads are struggling while tiny AI teams are making millions in months. This talk shows you why real skills, curiosity, and action matter more than shiny credentials. If you want to actually thrive in the AI era, this is the roadmap.

We talk about AI replacing jobs etc etc.
I would legitimately pay $30,000 per year to a tool that could perfectly edit audio podcasts.
I would pay another $30,000 if it could do video also.
Not one is able to do this at human quality today.

I attended a meeting last week where the customer told me point-blank:
"We were waiting for the GPT-5 announcement before deciding whether to hire you. Well, here we are."
GPT-5 was a massive shock to many people. Everyone is now realizing that AI is far from replacing software
