Anthropic Lets Developers Talk to Their Code 🎙️

• Anthropic is launching Voice Mode for Claude Code, which allows developers to speak commands instead of typing them.

• Developers can enable the feature with /voice and say instructions like “refactor the authentication middleware,” and Claude will execute the task.

• The feature is currently live for about 5 percent of users and will expand to more developers soon.

• This shows where coding tools are heading. Developers may soon interact with their IDE like a conversation instead of writing prompts.

OpenAI’s Pentagon Deal Triggered a User Backlash ⚔️

• After OpenAI announced a partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense, ChatGPT app uninstalls in the U.S. jumped 295 percent in one day.

• At the same time, downloads of Anthropic’s Claude app increased sharply and the app reached the top spot on the U.S. App Store.

• Anthropic gained support because it publicly said it refused a similar defense partnership due to concerns about surveillance and autonomous weapons.

• The situation shows that AI companies are now judged not only on technology but also on their partnerships and ethics.
