The irony is hard to miss. AI companies are asking for more guardrails while the government wants them to keep moving faster.

OpenAI says its research agents posted 53 user-uploaded images to public hosting sites without its knowledge.
The images were not openly listed, but people could still find them. OpenAI also says it cannot identify the affected users.
This is why agents are a different risk than chatbots. A bad answer is annoying, but a bad action can leak real data.
The uncomfortable truth is that agent autonomy may be improving faster than our ability to control it.
Crusoe scrapped a $1.25B deal to buy 29 power turbines from Boom Supersonic for its AI data centers.
Crusoe still wants turbines, just not Boom’s. It is mixing gas, grid power, batteries, wind and solar across its sites.
AI companies are getting so power-hungry that even a supersonic jet company saw an opportunity to sell them electricity.
The AI race is becoming a power race. The best chips mean little if you cannot find enough electricity to run them.
