Anthropic limiting the release of Mythos

to protect the internet?

Welcome to AI Wire — your smart shortcut to all things AI, without the jargon.

What we’ll cover today:

⚖️ ChatGPT dragged into a real-world lawsuit

🔒 Secret AI models you can’t access

☁️ Amazon going all-in on AI infrastructure

🧠 Smarter AI workflows most people miss

⚡ Tools quietly making power users faster

  • Florida is investigating OpenAI after ChatGPT was allegedly used to help plan the FSU shooting.

  • The victim’s family says the model may have played a direct role in the attack and plans to sue.

  • This adds to a growing list of cases where chatbots were linked to dangerous or unstable behavior.

  • The bigger question is simple. If AI influences real world harm, how much responsibility does the company carry?

FROM OUR FOUNDER…

THE SMARTEST WAY TO GROW YOUR NEWSLETTER 🚀

Tired of low-quality subs and wasted ad spend? I’ve scaled AI, fintech, SaaS, and multiple niche specific newsletters with real, engaged and high intent subscribers. Would love to do the same for you!

✅ 40%+ open rates: no bots, no junk leads.
✅ No ad management fees: just pay per engaged subscriber.
✅ First-party data & proprietary methods ensure quality.
✅ Risk-free scaling: we’ve built and grown newsletters ourselves.

📩 Want high-intent subscribers that actually engage? Let’s talk.

  • Anthropic did not release Mythos publicly because it says the model is too good at finding software weaknesses.

  • Instead, it gave access only to big players like AWS and JPMorgan.

  • That sounds like a safety move, but it also helps Anthropic protect enterprise deals and limit copycats.

  • This is the real shift. The best AI models may no longer be public products. They may become private infrastructure.

  • Andy Jassy used Amazon’s shareholder letter to push one message. Amazon does not want to rely on Nvidia forever.

  • He says demand for Amazon’s Trainium chips is already so high that future supply is close to sold out.

  • Amazon is also pushing its own Graviton chips and spending $200 billion on infrastructure next year.

  • This is bigger than chips. Amazon is trying to own more of the AI stack from compute to cloud.
